THE CONCEPT OF GENER JUSTICE IN ISLAM
Abstract
The problem of inequality in gender equality, such as in education, politics and economics, often affects women, as is the case in Sumber District. Based on data from the 2019 education office, many PAUD teachers, the majority of whom are women, still do not have a bachelor's degree qualification. In the political field, women who are involved and occupy political seats in the DPRD are still limited. And in the economic field, female workers' wages are lower than men's. Therefore, the author raises this issue to promote a fundamental and relevant concept of gender inclusion that recognizes and promotes equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities between women and men in accordance with Islamic teachings. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through studies literature where researchers analyze gender equality issues from books and journals as the main source. Meanwhile, supporting sources for researchers collect data from books, journals, online articles and others. The research results show that the concept of gender justice in Islam emphasizes the importance of giving women equal opportunities to develop, participate actively in social and economic life, and carry out their roles in society. Women's empowerment programs that are based on the principles of gender justice in Islam have great potential to improve women's quality of life, reduce gender gaps, and create a more inclusive society. Researchers argue that the concept of gender justice in Islam has great potential to bring positive change in efforts to empower women. However, continued efforts and strong collaboration between government, non-governmental organizations and society are needed to integrate these values in women's empowerment programs effectively.
